If a Series Happens, and No One is Watching…

Tonight will be the last night of the most exciting basketball series in history. Never before have we seen this much drama in a seven game series. The NBA, which has lost a lot of supporters over the years, which has the worst officiating in all of sports, and which is headed for a collapse of NHL proportions over the next few years, has gotten a gift from the Celtics and the Bulls. 4 Overtime games, including a triple-overtime and a double-overtime? The contrast in teams? The play of Rajon Rondo, Derrick Rose, and Ray Allen? It’s all amazing.

And somehow, people aren’t watching. I think a lot of older Celtics fans never really liked this team, for whatever reason. They were still talking about the Bird-McHale-Parrish teams, and they never really noticed how fun this team was to watch. It’s too bad. I’ve basically never been as excited about a sporting event, except the 2004 ALCS, and Basketball is like my 7th favorite sport. So if you weren’t planning on watching, do. You won’t be disappointed.
